I have been in 3 Laurel productions, including The Crucible, Into the Woods, and the Laurel Summer Shakespeare show As You Like It. Beyond theatre, I enjoy taking voice lessons and am a member of the school a cappella group Bad in Plaid, as well as the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, and I also participate in speech and debate. Outside of these activities, I love reading, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family. Thank you to my mom, who drove me home almost every night, and to the rest of my family, who put up with my theatrical antics.
Clue is my 8th Laurel production, following shows like Matilda, The Crucible, and As You Like It. I have been doing theater since I was 6 years old, and I greatly enjoy being onstage. I love the theatrical process because it allows for connections between grade levels and the shared joy of doing something fun. I also love it because it allows me to be in fun situations that most people otherwise wouldn’t be in. When I’m not onstage, I participate in Model UN, Poetry Club, Just Write, and more. I would like to thank my mom and mimi for doing the majority of driving me to and from practice.
Clue marks my sixth production at Laurel, with some of the highlights being Once Upon a Mattress and The Crucible. I have been doing theater since I was around 7 years old, and participating in and watching shows has become one of my favorite things in the world. I have met some of my best friends through Laurel productions, and I am incredibly grateful that I get to share the stage with them! When not onstage, I can probably be found baking, reading, writing, or rewatching a TV show for the millionth time. I would like to thank my friends and family for always being so supportive, and my exceptional cast, crew, and directors who have all made this experience so special. And thank you, lovely audience member, for supporting the arts at Laurel!
Clue is my first Laurel production! My favorite part of this process has been watching rehearsals and seeing the cast bring their characters to life. When I’m not “onstage” (because technically I am never physically onstage), I enjoy spending time with my friends, being outdoors, and listening to music. I would like to thank everyone for welcoming me so warmly to Laurel Theatre!
Clue is my fifth Laurel production, following The Crucible, Peter and the Starcatcher, The Tempest, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I love theater because it pushes me out of my comfort zone and allows me to spend time with friends I don’t get to see every day. Onstage, I get to take risks and experience things I wouldn’t try or do in my everyday life. In addition to theater, I am a competitive rock climber and spend a lot of my time at Shaker Rocks. I also enjoy playing piano and guitar, reading, and spending time with my friends. I’d like to thank my family for endlessly practicing lines and supporting everything I do, my dog, and most of all, my best friend for traveling 961 miles to see Clue!
This production of Clue will be my fifth show in the Upper School, but I have been acting since grade 5. I have thoroughly enjoyed each production, but some of my favorites include The Crucible (Elizabeth Proctor) and Matilda (Ms. Phelps). I have also worked with directors at University School, Heights Youth Theater, and Dobama Theater. The theater has always been a way to express myself and hear about fascinating stories of each character that I have played. After falling in love with the movie Clue, I was elated to be able to participate in this production. When not on stage, I like to write, read, paint, thrift, spend time with my family, and plan side quests with my friends. I would like to thank the wonderful creative team for bringing this goofy group of people to life and making sure we can still giggle through it all. Additionally, I would like to thank my dearest sister for running lines with me (even when she didn’t want to), my family, who have forced me to memorize every moment of the movie due to their daily quoting, and Julie Andrews movies for teaching me how to speak in a British accent. And the sincerest thanks to my cast mates who have allowed this show to shine.
This production of Clue will have been my fifth show at Laurel, following The Crucible, Peter and the Starcatcher, The Tempest, and Junie B. Jones. When I’m not onstage writing, reading, listening to music and watching Ted Lasso, my favorite TV show, with my mom. Getting to be a part of this production has been so much fun, I have really loved every part about it! I’d like to thank my family and friends who have always come to see me perform and support me when I really need it.
This is my second Laurel production, following my previous one, Into the Woods. This is my very first principal role! I love acting, as it allows me to step into other personalities and people I typically wouldn’t be. I’ve loved singing since I was little. When I’m not on stage, I’m either singing, reading, writing, preparing for Speech & Debate, listening to music, playing video games, doing homework, or yapping to my friends. I love traveling with my mom all over the world and learning new things. I also occasionally take voice lessons with my amazing teacher, Mrs. Monaghan. I’d like to thank Mrs. Monaghan for helping me become more confident in my singing and cheering me on through auditions. I’d also like to thank my mom for always being there for me during the toughest times and my parents for dealing with my constant singing at home. I’d like to thank my dad for supporting my singing and sitting through my performances, even though he hated sitting for long periods. Thank you to Mr. Cruse for being such an amazing and supportive director, and thank you to the cast and crew of Clue. Thank you all for coming to Clue!
CLUE will be my sixth Laurel production following Into The Woods, The Crucible, Matilda and others. I do a lot of acting and technical work for all sorts of theatrics, in and out of Laurel. Often, I find my voice when on stage and I’ve found that acting has shaped me to be more enthusiastic and confident. I can’t imagine being who I would be now if I hadn’t auditioned. I love showing directors how strong of an actress I can be and learning dances with cast mates for fun. Offstage I love singing in choir and listening to music. When traveling literally anywhere, even just to school, I take pictures of meaningful landscapes, miscellaneous objects, and my golden doodle, Sammy. I want to thank my mom and dad for dealing with me as well as my siblings' hectic schedules, the directors for understanding and giving me an opportunity despite conflicts, and all the casts I have worked with over the years that have made me come back to the theater and acting time and time again, and thank you for showing up.
Clue is my ninth Laurel Upper School production, following some amazing shows like Into The Woods, The Crucible, and Matilda. I’ve been doing theater ever since I was a Kindergartener, performing in the annual Laurel Primary School Spring Play, branching out to do some productions at Fairmount Center of the Arts, coming back for some of Laurel’s Middle School productions, and finally taking part in almost every theater opportunity I could in Upper School. In theater especially, I love to sing, dance, and act for crowds, as the feeling of being on stage is exhilarating, and the act of getting into character, putting on costumes, doing makeup, exploring new acting choices, and making new connections while strengthening old ones is something that will never be replaced in my life. When I’m not on stage in theater, I’m typically preparing for a flute choir concert, or making garments, paintings, or illustrations, learning new dances, or taking photos of my daily surroundings. I’d like to thank everyone in my life who supports my dreams, and especially our wonderful cast and crew for making many of those dreams come to fruition.
Clue is my first Laurel Production. I’ve always enjoyed the theatrical arts and decided to be a part of the fall play this year since I’ve never done it before.. Outside of the play, I’m the captain of Laurels' cross country and public address team, and am involved with the Cleveland Zoo to help with animal conservation. I would like to thank everyone that worked behind the scenes to make this production possible.
This is my fourth Laurel Production; I’ve done Into the Woods and Laurel’s Summer Shakespeare shows for the past two years (Much Ado and As You Like It). I’ve been doing theatre since I was 10(in and outside of Laurel), and immediately I fell in love with the process of escaping into another world and being someone new! Outside of the Chapel, you will usually find me reading, drawing, doing one of my many sports, watching Full House, competing in Speech and Debate, and laughing loudly with my friends. I’d like to thank my friends, family, and my cat for being there for me. I’d also like to thank you for watching CLUE!
This is my first time being on stage at Laurel. In the past, I’ve been part of the crew, but I figured it's my senior year, so I may as well have some fun and try something new! Even though I joined for fun, I’ve been working hard to do the best job I can on stage. I’ve enjoyed challenging myself by learning new skills and the process of becoming a new character. Outside of the theater, I enjoy making art (especially painting), playing in esports, spending time outdoors, and making/listening to music. I’d like to thank my family for always being so supportive, and thank everyone involved in the production for their hard work!
I have helped out with six shows here at Laurel, CLUE being my seventh but first show being on stage. These shows include Junie B. Jones, Matilda, Wildfire and the Bird Scouts, The Crucible, and a small collection of plays for the primary. I usually do tech, but I decided I wanted to try something different this time around. When I’m not doing theatre, I’m rock climbing, reading, watching whatever show is my current hyperfixation, listening to music (currently obsessed with EPIC: The Musical), hiking, hanging out with friends, or doing school work. I would like to thank my parents and family for coming to all of my shows, my friends, whether a thespian or not, for always being supportive, and you, for coming to watch CLUE!
This is my sixth or seventh Laurel production (I’m not even joking, I really can’t remember). When I’m not on stage, I’m usually writing, drawing, reading, or frantically catching up on late work. I like being on stage because it gives me a chance to express myself in new ways. I’d like to thank my cast mates for their passion, the crew for their reliability, and Mr. Cruse for his flexibility in collaboration. I am so excited that you are coming to see this show!! We’ve worked so hard together and have crafted something truly amazing!
Clue is my third show at Laurel after The Crucible and Into The Woods. Being in Laurel Theatre has thoroughly changed my life, introducing me to some of my bestest friends and giving me the chance to find greater confidence. When I’m not working on Clue I am easily distracted by watching movies, shopping, hanging out with my dogs, or taking a nap! Though this is my last year at Laurel I am beyond excited to see how the rest of the year goes.
This is my very first show at Laurel, and first serious production, apart from a couple plays I’ve done over the summers of previous years. When I’m not rehearsing, I could be found swimming, working on my novel, singing, drawing, reading, or doing the copious amounts of homework that, for no particular reason, I assign myself. What I find to be what attracts me to theater is the way being on stage pushes me to show more of my personality and put myself in a spotlight I don’t often like to be in during my offstage time. I’d like to thank my father for driving me home after rehearsals and my mother for buying me snacks for when I come home so that I don’t starve. I’m very excited to be part of this production and I’m very excited for you to attend!
